About me
Hello there, I'm Fernando Bossoes!
I am a fourth-year Bachelor of Journalism student at Humber Polytechnic with experience in corporate communications, journalism and project management.

I recently completed a four-month internship at Equinix as a communications intern. I supported global communications initiatives by creating and managing content across digital platforms and collaborating with cross-functional teams. During this time, I developed an award-winning project that standardized the company’s FAQ development process, improving brand consistency and enhancing the experience of customers and internal teams.

I also bring newsroom and editorial leadership experience. I currently work as a sports journalist with the Hawks Sports Network and as a managing editor at IGNITE, where I coordinate editorial calendars, apply SEO strategies and lead coverage across multiple sports. I also contribute to the student newspaper Humber ETC and have reported across a wide range of beats, including on-the-ground multimedia coverage from Ottawa during the 2025 Federal Election.

Whether I am interviewing sources for a story or applying the RACE framework to a communications project, I bring a strong work ethic and a collaborative approach. I enjoy developing work that supports organizational goals and I am driven by continuous learning, feedback and growth!

Outside of journalism, I am a big Star Wars fan – Revenge of the Sith is nothing less than a masterpiece. I also never refuse a great cup of coffee!
