About me

Hello there, my name is Fernando Bossoes!

 

I work as a sports journalist for the Humber Hawks and as a managing editor for IGNITE. I am currently a third-year journalism student at Humber Polytechnic, where I contribute to the online and print student newspaper, Humber ETC.

I have covered a wide range of beats, from writing about the human side of sports journalism to covering politics, including working on the 2025 Federal Elections, the 2024 U.S. elections and the 2025 Ontario provincial elections, reporting for both TV and online news desk and also going live on radio.

I bring a strong work ethic and a versatility to work on different topics. Whether I am creating charts for a data-driven story or writing a long-form feature piece, I always strive to deliver the best result while learning from others.

Outside of journalism, I am a big Star Wars fan – Revenge of the Sith is nothing less than a masterpiece. I also never refuse a great cup of coffee.
